Australia’s Paul Cheal welcomed to Advisory Council

(Canada, October 19th, 2022) — The Future Communicators Foundation (FCF) is pleased to welcome Paul Cheal to the PR Trust Advisory Council. Paul Cheal is an experienced communications leader in Australia with over 20 years’ experience working with blue chip local and global brands, and is the founder of communications consultancy 3cPR, based in Sydney, New South Wales.

“I am excited to join the Future Communicators Foundation and The PR Trust as a member of the Advisory Council,” said Paul Cheal, founder of 3cPR. “I am extremely passionate about encouraging and supporting the next generation of communications professionals. The PR Trust opens the door for mentoring and networking opportunities in Australia and around the globe, while the FCF ensures tomorrow’s communications leaders are equipped to tackle key issues facing society today such as sustainability, climate change, and social justice.”

As a former journalist, Paul is also founder and host of Australia’s first PR podcast, Smoke Signal, where he has interviewed changemakers in public relations, including in-depth interviews around climate science communications, public health, and ethics in public relations. He holds a Masters in Public Communication from University of Technology Sydney, and has maintained close links to academia as a lecturer of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Technology, Sydney, and more recently, Curtin University in Western Australia. Paul Cheal is also a Partner at The Communication Dividend, a best practice data analytics measurement solution designed for communication professionals to prove the value of PR and communications.

The Future Communicators Foundation provides scholarships, learning opportunities, and outreach programs that foster communication skills around sustainability, climate science, and social justice, with a focus on developing countries and underserved communities. The FCF recently launched the SPRG FCF Scholarship at the Chinese Univeristy of Hong Kong (CUHK) and two Canadian national scholarships around climate, indigeneity, and democracy. The FCF will be releasing details in coming weeks for scholarships launching in Ghana, Egypt, and at Florida A&M University (FAMU) with agency FINN Partners. The FCF’s education outreach around climate benefits local agencies who are in need of top-tier talent attuned to today’s challenges.

The Advisory Council provides insights for The PR Trust, the 501(c)(6) non-profit that oversees and administers the work of the Future Communicators Foundation. Founded in 2014, The PR Trust provides knowledge and networking opportunities, student scholarships and awards programs that elevate and empower aspiring professionals and young leaders in communications.
